  Notes	From Jane Sanerman Mason, correspondent, note of 18 March 2008 The Wahkiakum County Eagle (Washington) 16 Jan 1964  p9 Mrs. Clara Sprague stayed overnight at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Sprague, in Rosburg Sunday and returned Monday. The Wahkiakum County Eagle (Cathlamet, Washington) 27 May 1965 p6 Visiting Mrs. Clara Sprague recently were her daughters, Mrs. Russell (Quida) Hanscom of Bellport, N.Y., and Mrs. John (Gladys) Lewis of Grass Valley, Calif. Mrs. Sprague's granddaughters, Melody and Tammy Lewis and Pamela Morgan also visited. Wahkiakum County Eagle (Cathlamet, Washington) 19 May 1966 p5 Clara Sprague Funeral services were held Wednesday for Mrs. Clara C. Sprague, 73, of Cathlamet in the Grays River Methodist church with Elder George Thayer officiating. Mrs. Sprague was born Sept. 23, 1892 in Astoria, Ore. She died May 14 in a Cathlamet nursing home. She had lived her entire lifetime in Rosburg and Cathlamet. Survivors include three daughters; Mrs. Gladys Lewis of Grass Valley Calif., Mrs. Quida Hanscom of Bellport Long Island New York, Mrs. Yvonne Webb of Cathlamet; four sons Delbert and Clyde of Rosburg, Larry with the Marine Corp. in Viet Nam, Dan at Adak, Alaska; one brother, Leonard Olson of Cathlamet; 21 grandchildren and __[blurred] great grandchildren. Interment was in Grays River Cemetery. Penttila's Chapel by the Sea of Long Bech was in charge. The Wahkiakum County Eagle (Cathlamet, Washington) 27 May 1965 p6 Visiting Mrs. Clara Sprague recently were her daughters, Mrs. Russell (Quida) Hanscom of Bellport, N.Y., and Mrs. John (Gladys) Lewis of Grass Valley, Calif. Mrs. Sprague's granddaughters, Melody and Tammy Lewis and Pamela Morgan also visited. They were all here to attend the funeral of their brother Eldon Sprague. Dan Sprague of Adak, Alaska and Larry Sprague stationed in California with the Marine Corps were unable to attend. [4, 10]
