  	From Jane Sanderman Mason, correspondent, note of 4 June 2023 On his 1918 WWI draft card Basil reports he is married. In the 1920 census it is unclear if he is married or divorced. There is no spouse enumerated with him. In 1930 he is enumerated as divorced. There is a faint paper trail online that Basil m Gladys May Hammond and that they had a son, Stanley Sprague, in 1914. I have been unable to find a marriage record but the son's birth record and the 1920 census entries support the existence of a short marriage. [2]
